Effective Ways To Remove Pet Hair From Laundry, Furniture and Carpet
Recommended 0 TimesRecommend This

If you own multiple pets, you have pet hair around the house. Here are a few cleaning tips that will enable you to remove pet hair from an upholstered sofa or chair in just a few minutes.

What You'll Need:

Warm Water
Sponge
White Vinegar
Spray Bottle
Garbage Can
Bounty Paper Towels

Instructions:

Remove all pillows and blankets from the furniture. Take them outside and give them a quick shake to release the pet hair. Make sure to keep the door shut to prevent a breeze from blowing the fur back into your home.

Place the pillows and blankets back on the furniture. Now, concentrate on removing pet hair from exposed upholstered surfaces including armrests, dust ruffles, and cushions.

Soak a sponge in warm water. Squeeze the sponge to remove most of the water. Wipe the damp sponge over the furniture. Use short sweeping motions to make the pet fur ball roll up onto itself. Remove the clumps as they form and toss them in the garbage.

Does your furniture have a mild pet odor? One of my favorite cleaning tips is to spray the sponge with a 1:10 mixture of white vinegar and water; then, wipe the furniture. The white vinegar will neutralize the pet odor. When the cleanser dries, the vinegar odor will dissipate as well.

Turn on a ceiling fan to help the furniture dry more quickly. The extra air circulation will also help to freshen the air in the room.
