Nobody likes bad odors filling their homes, but store-bought air fresheners can get pricey. Make your own homemade air fresheners to save money and fill your house with all-natural fragrances.
What You'll Need:
Small Glass Jar
Swatch Of Fabric
Bounty Paper Towels
To make one of the easiest DIY air fresheners, simply place a few drops of your favorite essential oil scent on the inside of a new toilet paper roll. When the tube gets rolled, the oil will give off the scent.
To knock out bad odors in your laundry basket, fill a sachet with homemade potpourri and place it in the bottom of the basket.
Another notorious bad odor spot is the trash can. Sprinkle some fresh baking soda in the bottom of your can each time you change the bag to help absorb odors.
For spray-style homemade air fresheners, simply fill a spray bottle with water and add a few drops of an essential oil. Give the bottle a shake and use a few spritzes to freshen up your rooms or furniture. Experiment with different oils until you get a scent you really love.
You can make a simple and decorative odor remover with a small glass jar and baking soda. Wash and dry a baby food jar or any other small glass jar. Cover the top of the jar with a small square of fabric and tie it in place with a ribbon. Poke several pinholes in the fabric with a sewing pin. You can reuse the jar by replacing the baking soda every couple of months. You can also add a few drops of essential oils for a hint of fragrance.
