When it is time to prepare for spring apartment cleaning, you want to get the job done quickly. Before you start cleaning, prepare your supplies, clear away clutter, and set aside a couple of hours to complete the job. For each room, you can use a few simple supplies that will make your job easier.
What You'll Need:
Spray Bottle (12 Ounces)
1/2 Cup (4 Ounces) White Vinegar
3/4 Cup (8 Ounces) Cool Water
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
Bounty Paper Towels
Mix the vinegar, lemon juice, and water in the spray bottle and shake the bottle carefully.
Vacuum all carpets and sprinkle baking soda lightly across each one. This should be done on all wall-to-wall carpeting as well as throw rugs. Allow the baking soda to sit while you clean other rooms.
Sprinkle baking soda on all upholstered furniture. This will help cut odors from cooking smells, and pet odors.
Spray cleaning solution evenly on all windows in each room. Wipe to a streak-free shine with Bounty paper towels.
Spray cleaning solution on countertops, appliances, and finished cabinets, and wipe them thoroughly with Bounty paper towels.
Apply a paste of baking soda and water to stains or stubborn areas on counters and appliances or in sinks. Scrub stains with the sponge and rinse with lukewarm water. Surfaces may then be dried with Bounty paper towels.
Complete your apartment cleaning by vacuuming baking soda off carpeting and upholstery. This will leave your entire home with a clean smell, as baking soda will remove odors from fabric.
