How to Clean a Dog House Naturally
Recommended 0 TimesRecommend This
Most dogs love to play in the mud, but despite their fascination of all things that are dirty and disgusting, you still need to make sure they have a clean doghouse. When it's time to clean a doghouse, don't use harsh chemicals. Instead, use all-natural cleaners.
What You'll Need:
Baking Soda
Water Hose
Toilet Bowl Brush
Spray Bottle
White Vinegar
Bounty Paper Towels
Instructions:
If possible, take the doghouse apart to make it easier to clean the interior.
Dampen the interior of the doghouse with water from a hose, and sprinkle it with baking soda.
Scrub the interior using a clean toilet bowl brush. Pay extra attention to the curves and corners of the doghouse.
Rinse the doghouse with the hose.
Fill 1/2 of a spray bottle with white vinegar, and the remainder with water. Spray the inside of the doghouse with the vinegar solution. Wipe the vinegar solution with Bounty paper towels to make sure it covers the entire surface.
Allow the doghouse to dry before putting it back together. When it is dry, flip it so the door is facing the ground. Now you can clean the outside.
Rinse the exterior of the doghouse with the hose. If you need to clean an exterior that is muddy or very dirty, you can sprinkle baking soda on the damp house. Use the toilet bowl brush to scrub it, and then rinse it again. Now your dog has a clean home to go back to!
