When it comes right down to it, everyone wants a clean house. Who actually wants the house to be messy or disorganized? There are those who don't have time to clean, or who feel that some mess is inevitable. But anybody, no matter how busy their schedule, can follow a few simple steps to get a clean house every day.
What You'll Need:
House Cleaning Checklist
Cleaning Products (Window Cleaner, Furniture Polish, etc.)
Bounty Paper Towels
Music
Instructions:
Open up some windows if it's warm, or turn on a fan if it's cool outside. When cleaning a house, it's important to have good airflow so that the chemicals from the cleaning solutions don't build up. Now, let’s talk about how to keep your house clean, top to bottom!
Here’s a great cleaning house tip: turn on some good, thumping music. Having something to listen to as you go about cleaning the house makes the work a lot easier and more fun. Resist turning the TV on, because hearing something interesting on the program can often interrupt the progress you are making. Just one time of missing that interesting something on the program is enough to encourage you to sit on the couch and not miss anything else—so much for cleaning house! Instead, stick with some great music that makes you feel lively and active.
Have a house cleaning checklist of what you'd like to get done each cleaning session, and when you want those cleaning sessions to be. Some prefer to do a little bit of house cleaning every day so that it doesn't build up. Others like to just do one big cleaning once a week, and still others clean every other day. Choose whatever works for you (and you can always change your schedule later if the first schedule doesn't fit). Try to keep in mind that when there is a lot to do in a single day, the task can seem really daunting, and motivation is scarce.
Make it fun! Dance to the music. Give yourself kudos when you check another item off of your list. Laugh, play, and be merry! Remember, not all chores have to be a chore.
